So I am back in the UK now. I have been mulling over many things during the 12000 mile flight home.
Life is, I believe, what we make it. We are given choices and ingredients to fill our day. I have made my career much of my life’s focus and now I am refocusing and going in a different direction.
So many things to experience and explore. I want to spend more time with my family and be with people who bring me to life.
On the flight I watched the film ‘Tolkein’ and it really made me think. Tolkein had to redo the Oxford entrance exam and he almost got sent down at one stage. He fought for his place at Oxford and eventually changed courses to study Phrenology. He kept hoping to achieve something great.
I want to live my best life and be the best version of myself. The only way I can do this is to be true to myself and keep hoping for the things I really want in life.
Hope comes in many forms. Thinking about hope has enabled me to see that hope is a fundamental ingredient of a happy life.
So today’s hope recipes are being true to oneself and not allowing perceived failure to stop yourself trying to achieve your dreams.
I wish you all a hope filled week X
