What if?

I have been thinking about thinking recently. It is very easy to ask what if? What if I hadn’t done that? What if I had never made that stupid choice, entered that toxic relationship, smoked that first cigarette, had that first drink and on and on it goes. The what if’s of life. So let’s explore that a little more.

What if we replace what if? with why not? What if can become what if I were to make a change today, what if I start an exercise programme? Go to AA or a therapist? Yesterday I got in touch with a personal trainer and I intend to have a go. Because in these times, I want a healthy body and a healthy mind.

Thinking steers our ship in my view. How e think determines the choices we make or do not make. And therefore, if we shift in our thinking and perspective, then life changes. Small determined steps, one by one. And this is how we can live a hopeful and hope filled life.

Today’s recipe of hope is to look at your what if script. Are you living a life that is full of what if’s. Are you drowning in regret? Today have a think about the why not’s. Why not make that change; take up jogging, walking, cycling, call the personal trainer, drink more water. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Don’t wait until tomorrow, because tomorrow never comes.

May you all know the power of ‘why not‘ thinking X
