I am very self-critical. I really try not to be, but it is a challenge. But sometimes we all get it wrong. None of us is perfect. I have to remind myself not to be hard on myself.

Sometimes things don’t work out as we hoped. We let ourselves down, we let others down, others let us down. But hope is about learning from life’s biggest mistakes. It is about getting up after we have been knocked down and moving forward.
According to legend, it took Thomas Edison 1,000 tries to invent the light bulb. In other words, he failed a whopping 999 times before he reached success. We sometimes need to just keep trying.
Success in my view is being the best, most authentic version of ourselves. It is keeping going, often against the odds.
Today’s recipe of hope is to acknowledge failure and learn from it. And move on from it. And if you keep failing, such as trying to battle an addiction, failure (relapse) is part of the process. Keep determining to battle on.
May we all learn to celebrate our failures as learning opportunities X
