How hope works

I wanted to share today about how practical hope is. I have been supporting a woman who has had a really tough time recently.

And two lovely women have come forward to offer their lovely help. One is available as a listening ear any hour of the day or night. And the other bought a box of clothes for the woman, because she had nothing. They had never even met.

This is the essence of kindness. This is hope in action. Selfless acts, with no desire for recognition, hence why all are remaining nameless. Women supporting other women. And humans supporting other humans.

I was given numerous sleeping bags, duvets and various other items today, for our lovely guests who have no home. I am excited about those things. Another generous and caring woman gave these.

I share just to encourage you all that these small acts of hope are hugely impacting, because they are practical ways of reaching out a hand to another human being in distress.

Today’s recipe of hope is to do a hope act this week. And celebrate others who are doing hope acts behind the scenes.

Let’s shake the world by shaking kindness around like gold dust X

I am a qualified social worker and run a community project for vulnerable adults. I am passionate about social justice. I feel that every life matters. No-one is insignificant or invaluable. I also believe that everyone has the power to change, although some may not wish to. Essentially, I believe in hope. Hope Wells is my writing name.
